Power Book II: Ghost is nearly halfway through the first half of its series finale run.
Starz reports that the fourth season of the crime drama, which stars Michael Rainey Jr. as Tariq St. Patrick, son of drug lord and businessman James St. Patrick, also known as Ghost, attracted 6.5 million multiplatform viewers during its premiere week.
Tariq kills his father in the first series, but he later transforms into an Ivy League college student and drug dealer. For three seasons, viewers have watched him attempt to earn his inheritance by finishing school, but ultimately abandons his family to lead a life of crime. He’s essentially Ghost 2.0.
The first episode of Season 4 will air on Power’s tenth anniversary, and the season will consist of two parts. When the episode resumes, Tariq and Brayden (played by Gianni Paolo) are in a state of confusion following their initial conflicts with Effie, the Tejadas, and Noma. With no other options and feeling betrayed, the two must devise a plan. Det. Don Carter (played by Michael Ealy) shows up on the scene with the intention of eliminating Tariq and everyone who is supporting him, which further complicates matters.
That also applies to Paz and Angela Valdes’s relative, federal agent Angel Young. Will Tariq survive, along with his loved ones?
